I have been in the health and wellness field for over fifty years, and my practice is built on one core belief: finding the root cause — not managing the symptom — is the only path to lasting change. I work with each of my clients as a true partner, and together we build a personalized path toward the health that is uniquely possible for you.
I am a Board Certified Integrative and Functional Medicine Healthcare Practitioner, and my work spans the full arc of human health — from the earliest years of child development to the long horizon of optimal age management. My specialties include orthomolecular medicine, nutritional biochemistry, pediatric neurological organization and development, and performance and recovery.
"Vital to optimal wellness is understanding the need to remove toxins, replenish what is depleted or missing, and restore the balance of the mindbody."
Twenty years of training, certification, and clinical work in nutrition, pediatric neurophysiology, and child brain development at The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential in Philadelphia gave me the foundation for my understanding of and work with children across the full spectrum — from well children to those with significant neurological challenges. Working with children has been a particular joy throughout my practice. I bring a deeply personal dimension to it as well — my own daughter suffered two brain injuries as a baby, and navigating her recovery alongside the science gave me an insight into this work that no textbook could provide.
This work was recognized internationally when I was awarded the Brazilian Gold Medal of Honor for my work with brain-injured children from around the world — an honor I hold with deep gratitude.
I work with many other doctors and health practitioners on their own personal health, and I value these collegial relationships greatly. Together we assist each other for the best outcomes, sharing our expertise across disciplines. I am happy to provide referrals to Osteopaths, MDs, Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, Nutritionists, Biological Dentists, and many other health practitioners whenever needed — because your care should never stop at the edge of any one practice.
In addition to my consultation practice, I teach wellness and preventive care seminars internationally to both allopathic and world medical tradition health professionals, and assist them in integrating wellness protocols into their practices. I am also dedicated to continuing my own medical and wellness education in this ever-evolving world of integrative care.
My practice is based in Kennett Square, PA, at The Farmhouse Retreat and Wellness Center, and I see clients via secure Zoom nationally and internationally.

The personal dimension
I have been a Senior Teacher and Board Member of The Tibetan Buddhist Center of Philadelphia for 35 years, with direct instruction from His Holiness the Dalai Lama and other revered Tibetan teachers. My Buddhist studies began in the 1960s during my time in Vietnam, where I had direct personal experience with the effects of PTSD — a background that informs my work with trauma and stress response to this day.
My own nine-year journey through and recovery from a severely debilitating illness gives me a particular insight into what it means to navigate the healthcare system from the inside — to lose, and to reclaim, one's health. It is an experience I carry into every consultation, and one reason that the partnership between client and practitioner is so central to how I work. I know what it is to need a guide.
These dimensions of my life are not separate from my clinical practice — they are woven into it. I incorporate meditation practices into stress response and trauma protocols, and I teach individuals the practical effects that our psychological and emotional states have on the mindbody — creating either ease, or dis-ease.
I teach individuals and health professionals the practical effects of psychological and emotional states on physical health — incorporating meditation practices as clinical tools in trauma and stress response management protocols, not as adjuncts, but as foundations.
